Noson strips, which is an over-the-counter nasal dilator, similar to the Noson strip, are an excellent option for helping in reducing snoring. These nasal dilators help open the nostrils or nasal passages to help improve the flow of air. But do they really work? Are they effective in relieving sleep apnea Learn more about these gadgets, and decide if they're worth a shot.

The Basics of Nasal Dilators
There are two kinds of nasal dilators. They open the nostrils or nasal passages from outside, and nasal dilation from the inside. The external dilator typically is composed of a rigid strip that is applied to the outer surface of the nose with adhesive, much like an elastic Band-Aid. Noson nasal strips is a well-known brand. However, there are many other brands.

Nasal dilation occurs when you pull your nostrils out and opening the sides of your nose are opened. It's similar to lifting the sides of the peaked tent to expand the space on the inside. This may allow you to breathe more easily and reduce your snoring. Increased airflow through a nose could result in this. If your nose is completely open, airflow is ideal. The air would travel through the throat, into the mouth, into the tongue before entering the lung. An obstruction in the nose is caused by narrowness in the anatomy, deviance from the septum, or congestion due to allergies or colds. Instead it is a trickle or stream, of air enters. This airflow that is turbulent is like a stream of water that is shallow and full of rocks. The airflow will become turbulent and the tissues of the throat (especially the soft palate and the uvula), may vibrate, which can cause nasal snoring. You can increase how much air is able to enter the nose. However, you could also reduce the turbulent movement of air. Click for check this how to stop snoring with these remedies aid here.

Noson Strips are efficient in reducing snoring. A study of 30 participants observed that external nasal dilators such as Noson strips, worked in decreasing the intensity. The dilators proved to be most effective in the absence of any other health issues that might affect their sleep such as obstructive sleep disorder or sleep apnea. Other studies haven't proved these treatments to be as effective. Noson strips are a possibility to improve sleep apnea but they can only reduce the snoring.

Negative Side effects of Noson Strips
In addition to possible skin reactions to the adhesive, or injuries due to the removal of nasal dilators, there are unlikely to be any side consequences. The nasal dilator could help with the snoring, but not sleep apnea. The therapy may not be as effective if the symptoms are lessen. Click for top stop snoring devices gadget here.

Other devices to open the NoseAnother alternative is an inner nasal dilator. The plug is placed into the nostrils and is able to stay in place for the duration of the night. A comprehensive review of literature revealed that the internal nasal dilators were slightly more effective on sleep snoring than external nasal strips. Provent can be purchased as a prescription-only alternative. Theravent is an equivalent non-prescription drug. These devices draw air into the nostrils to reduce exhaled. In order to maintain the airway, these devices produce more air.

Snoring is a recurring issue
The nasal dilators are easy to use and can be considered a viable option for people who have trouble sleeping even after trying other less drastic options. They may be worth a shot to see if it is helpful. However, nasal dilations might not be the right choice for you, particularly when you suffer from sleep apnea.
